What is the cheapest/best way to travel from washington dc to ottawa in january?
I need to travel from washington dc to ottawa in january. What would be the cheapest/best way to do that. I don't want to spend too much money on it and flights seem to be too expensive, minimum around 500...

Cheapest? hitchhike You can fly from Washington to Montreal for $382 RT, then take the train to Ottawa for $70 RT. The Dorval train station is very close to the Montreal airport, and Via Rail is supposed to have a free connecting bus.

Go on greyhound or Amtrak. They are the cheapest way and you will be way under your budget.
